Some of you may already know that I am currently studying to obtain my Certification in Aromatherapy with Jade Shutes of East/West School of Aromatic Studies (who is brilliant, I might add). I have to share with you that I am super excited to see that throughout the course, she uses Florihana essential oils. She is the reason I found Florihana. The fact that she still uses their products with such a saturated industry today, thrills me! I love their essential oil products and am reassured that they are of the highest quality. If you happen upon my Etsy store you will find many of their oils available either individually, as sprays or other items I create.

End of school year exams? Rosemary and Bay Laurel are two essential oils that can help assist with sharpening the mind while keeping you alert. I also like Frankincense with Sweet orange added to it. Makes me happy while keeping me focused.
Make an inhaler stick, keep a cotton ball with the oil on it in a small jar, or wear an aromatherapy locket like the type I make, so you can benefit from the aromatherapy as you need it. Psst... pass it on. :) Drop by drop I'm learning so much through my course with East West School of Aromatic Studies. There is so much to learn and that is just what I wanted. I want to share all I learn with you as I go along whether it be plant specifics, recipes or safety tips. Though I wish I could blink and be through my course, I am enjoying every minute of the learning experience. Why rush a good thing? I only wish I was this excited about school when I was young!
So I've been a bit stressed to say it mildly. As I was studying I took one of Jade's suggestion and added Clary Sage, Roman Chamomile and Neroli to my diffuser and chilled out. I wasn't paying attention to much else until I took a break and hugged my little dog Lucy. She is possessive over everyone in the house and usually is very verbal about it if another dog comes near you when you're hugging her. Well guess what? Nothing! Lucy was calm and didn't even care what the other dogs were doing. As a matter of fact, my daughter and I noticed that she very calm throughout the afternoon. I'm thinking perhaps she was digging on the diffuser blend! Hmmm?
Well I did it! I finally enrolled in East West School of Aromatherapy Courses! I am on my way to becoming a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist! I cannot wait to start learning all I can from Jade Shutes! I will keep you posted throughout this journey. Can you feel my excitement?
Well since the last workshop was fun and informative I'm doing another one on May 3rd @ 6:30. Details are below. There is something for everyone and all attendees will go home with a complimentary Be Well aromatherapy spray. There will also be aromatherapy products available for purchase.
I've been busy preparing for an Aromatherapy workshop that I will be presenting next week. I am super excited about this opportunity to share what I have learned and experienced using essential oils. I invite you to bring along your inner skeptic and maybe a friend or two too! You'll be pleasantly surprised by the benefits nature's little gifts can provide you. If I can help someone else find a healthy alternative to chemicals, synthetics, prescriptions, or over the counter medications, then I'll be a happier woman!
Louie and I have a friend who is suffering from RA among other injuries she received from a fall. About a year ago I gave her a bottle of wintergreen essential oil diluted to use for pain as she needed it. She did what most people do - she put it in a closet and forgot about it. That is until recently. She was having a bad night and couldn't sleep due to the pain. She took a high dose of ibuprofen and got no relief. She then took her prescribed pain medication and still no relief. Out of desperation she looked for and found my bottle of wintergreen and applied it. Guess who got her sleep? Yes! I was pleasantly surprised when I found a post from her on my Facebook page thanking me for a good night sleep! So happy it helped! These are the the stories that make me happy that I am doing something good :)
I was just making my Be Well spray for someone and started to think of how I might sound like a crazed person when I talk about essential oils. I light up and get excited when I describe them. I can thank Loida Claudio for that! :) My friend Loida was kind enough to introduce me to these wonders by giving me YL oil samples from her own supply to try when I was at my lowest of low. And for that, I am so very grateful. I only wish the people who I am talking to, typing to, blogging to, would have known me before I incorporated these little wonders into my life - when I was so sick that I couldn't breathe, I could barely finish speaking a sentence, I was living at the doctor's office, and all I did was cry because I felt so terrible and worn out. And for some who of you don't know, I almost suffered a heart attack a few years ago. So please -- without making any specific medical claims here -- you can take my word when I tell you that these gifts from nature are incredible, remarkable and life changing. 2015 was my very first year since 2004/2005 that I have not had a cold, the flu, bronchitis, a sinus infection or any other bug that can take me down like a paper airplane. I'm sure that my doctors miss me. As much as I like all of them I am not sending "Missing You" postcards. With that being said, I plan on continuing all I am doing and more! Feels great to feel well. :)
![]() UPDATE: It's been a long while since I first wrote my story here and I just wanted you all to know that I am WELL! YES! Not one trip to my pulmonologist or allergist. Oh, let me not forget to tell you that I didn't even get my flu shot this year either. Though it's become a controversial topic, I usually get one yearly due to the severity of my asthma. I can't stress it enough how using my air sprays, diffusing and ingesting my oils daily have made a HUGE difference in my health. Again, I would never instruct anyone to ingest. It's my choice for my body and it works tremendously for me. Thank you Mother Earth! |
